Costa Brava

Holidays in the Costa Brava, also known as the 'Wild Coast', are often based in the resorts of Blanes, Tossa de Mar, Estartit and Lloret de Mar. The 2.5-mile stretch of Blanes coastline is comprised of long sandy beaches, rocky coves and a yacht marina offering a wealth of water sports. The pretty town of Tossa de Mar is set against a backdrop of verdant hills and lush valleys, with charming cobblestone streets and an ancient castle. The former fishing village of Estartit is a small, relaxed family resort set at the foot of the Montgri Mountain range and flanked by nine miles of sandy beaches and rocky outcrops. Estartit boasts one of the longest sandy beaches on the Costa Brava. What's more flights to the Costa Brava take only two hours from most UK departure airports, so a Costa Brava holiday is never too far away.

Things To Do
Holidays on the Costa Brava centre around the beach life – whether it’s sunbathing or taking to the water in a boat, on a jet-ski or windsurfing board. The waterparks and theme parks will keep the children happy. For shopping and culture, head to the Catalan capital of Barcelona. Visit the Salvador Dali Theatre Museum in Figueres. Avid golfers have no less than 10 courses to choose from along the Costa Brava.
Food & Drink
The Costa Brava is a great place to dine out with such a wide choice of restaurants to suit every palate including Italian, Indian, Chinese and English fare – whether you want a full-cooked breakfast, Sunday roast, a burger, pizza or bbq ribs you’ll find them all on this coastline. Tapas, paella and freshly caught fish and seafood feature widely on menus too. For dessert, there’s ‘crema catalana’ – a rich egg custard topped with caramelised sugar. Traditional Sangria and the region’s Torres wines and cavas such as Freixenet and Codorniu always go down well.
In The Evening
As the sun goes down the Costa Brava comes into its own. If you want to party all night long, then Lloret de Mar’s the place. Estartit and Tossa de Mar also have a good selection of bars and clubs to enjoy. For a quieter night take a walk into one of the pretty inland villages or enjoy a meal and drink by the coastline.
