The pool area is the real crowd-pleaser during the daytime. The duo of pools is each lined with sun lounger filled terraces for sunbathing, and one comes with water slides for whizzing down into the water to cool down. Splashing times are also on the cards for the little ones with two pint-sized pools alongside. The adjoining beach is great for sandcastles and paddling around in the waves.

On dry land, there's a generous helping of sports and leisure activities. Challenge your partner to a game of tennis or join in a few sets of volleyball. Fun and games are waiting to be discovered by tots to teens in the kids and junior clubs, along with a playground and mini golf course. Pampering and relaxation make a trip to the balneotherapy centre a real treat for Mum and Dad.

The guest rooms and apartments are simply furnished but offer all the modern touches that add to your comfort. Expect air conditioning, a satellite TV and a mini bar. A well equipped bathroom and a furnished terrace complete the picture.

The culinary journey takes in local Tunisian dishes and international flavours in the on-site eateries. The barman is happy to freshly brew your morning coffee or shake you up a fruity cocktail after dark. Bring your day to a close in style with entertainment in the amphitheatre and late night dancing in the disco bar. Discover why Hotel Dar Khayam is a popular place to stay for Tunisia holidays.

Katie Austin
Good hotel with dedicated entertainment team
I stayed at this hotel in June 2014 and would particularly recommend it to families.

The food was good and the new management was introducing themed buffet nights while I was here, which made a nice change.

There's often day-long entertainment at the main pool, while the pool with water slides is surprisingly quiet - we spent most of our time here.

Night-time entertainment includes bingo and a live show that lasts until late at night, so maybe request a room a bit further away if you like to go to bed early.

All in all, a nice hotel.

Location couldn't of been better the food was awful and we spent more time queuing for drinks than drinking

Mrs Dobrianski, 20 May 2015

The place is looking a bit tired. The queues to get served at the bar were ridiculous and the staff are all really miserable. Other than that it wasn't a bad place.

Mr Harper, 15 November 2014

On the 5th to the 12th of November 2014; I stayed at the Khayam Hotel. As I got in the room I got an unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke; I immediately went to the reception desk; I asked for a change of room, the man replied “ it will be an extra £10 a night” - £70 for the week – 196 dinar for the week. I put up with the horrid smell for one night; as I awoke the smell hadn’t got any better. I went to the reception desk once more; this time there was a different man at reception; I told him my concern and he replied “ it will be 60 dinar” which equivalents out to £3.57 a night - £21.42 for the 6 days. (My advice to none smokers – avoid this hotel).

Mrs Dinsdale, 11 July 2014

Accomodation was a bit tired looking and in need of painting and clean up. Pool area was very basic. Did not enjoy sharing a restaurant table each mealtime with strangers, have never seen this before. Not enough selection of alcoholic drinks available at the bars. Hotel entertainment very poor. Only being alowed to use the Beach restaurant once per week and the booking in advance of this privelage was not ideal as this restaurant was empty the majority of the time, would have liked to access this restaurant on a daily basis whilst being at the beach. Welcome at the hotel by reception staff was not a very nice experience, room was not ready on our arrival. Did not make us feel welcome at all.
