Good City Hotel!
My husband and I enjoyed our four night break at this hotel in March 2012. We were very impressed with the appearance in the lobby area, sitting room and breakfast room. Lovely period furniture, decor and flowers. The breakfast room was clean and well presented, serving a tasty continental breakfast with plenty of choice.

Our room, with its period style decor, was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modernish, just a few little complaints. The walk in shower door was broken and kept opening during the shower. The bathroom was very small and so the toilet was rather awkward to get to and too close to the sink. These were minor things, so the good outweighed the bad. They did supply shower gel etc presented in a nice box. Small irritant was that we could not get any English channels on TV, not even the usual news channel. I don't know if we were doing something wrong. Nice to have something on first thing and late evening.

The position of the hotel was excellent. About 5 minutes to the Termini to get trains and buses, including the hop on/off tourist buses, and also coaches serving both airports. Turn left out of the hotel and a few yards up the road, for the nearest chemist. There were quite a few restaurants near the hotel. We loved Rome, so much to see and do but it was very expensive. We would stay at this hotel again.

WARNING - beware of pick pockets. They work in pairs or groups. They approach you, begging for money, using a folded piece of cardboard. While one is talking, the other goes behind and uses the cardboard to hold near the bag etc while the other hand is under it, undoing the zips etc. They are very persistent. Luckily, my husband spotted it, shouted at them, and they left empty handed. This happened to us as we were leaving this wonderful city. I know that it can happen in any city, so don't let it put you off going, just be aware. Overall, we felt very safe walking around, even in the evenings. Thank you to the hotel staff, for an enjoyable stay.

Mr Riley, 25 October 2016

Firstly, we were put in a room at the front of the hotel which was noisy for much of the night, even on a small side road. We then asked if we could change, and were given a slightly larger and nicer room at the rear of the building, away from the noise. They were very undersatnding and helpful which made our stay, for the remaining 5 nights, much more comforable. A stylish hotel, with very helpful staff, good breakfasts and advice about where to eat and how to get to different parts of the city.

Great accommodation and service again good feedback given on trip advisor

Mr Smith, 18 July 2016

Nice room, good air conditioning, which was definitely required! But had no tea/coffee making facilities. Had I known I would have taken a travel kettle but assumed it would have these being a hotel!
