of our customers rated this property good or excellent.

Mrs Phillips, 21 November 2017

Friendly and helpful.

Mrs Pickford, 20 November 2017

Beautiful public rooms and spacious bedroom. Very clean throughout. Good location for us but some guests would find the 88 steps a problem getting into and out of the hotel. Breakfast was something of a bun fight and the coffee was terrible. The service in the bar area in particular was not always what you would expect from a 5* hotel.

Mr Fitton, 20 June 2017

Good location, excellent facilities, friendly and efficient staff, wide choice of lovely food.

Mr Daniels, 02 June 2017

The hotel was fantastic could not fault it all the facilities and staff made that part of the holiday amazing however Thomas Cook were a disgrace

Mrs Cowans, 01 June 2017

Really good hotel with excellent staff.

Mr Warwick, 21 May 2017

First class in every way

Mr King, 15 May 2017

good clean but is a bit dated for a 5 star hotel, its showing it age, needs a bit of money spent on it.

Mrs Pattison, 30 April 2017

This wonderful hotel with their delightful staff exceeded expectations. I can't wait to return there!

Mr Rust, 02 April 2017

Good value

Mr O'toole, 31 March 2017

Room very good. Staff helpful and pleasant.
Dining room service abysmal.
88 steps from reception in order to reach street level. Would not recommend for people with mobility problems!

Mr Gaston, 29 December 2016

Of expected standard. Plumbing showed some small Mediterranean eccentricities. Hotel info should make clear steep climb to street level on a marble staircase which can become slippery.

Mr Bryning, 09 December 2016

Fabulous!!! Amazing service and perfect location for visiting Valletta. Also very clean!!

Mr Neale, 18 November 2016

Good room, good service from all staff ,nothing too much trouble, nice atmosphere in hotel

Mrs Cooper, 10 October 2016

This hotel is in a good position for exploring Valletta. It is situated downhill and it is quite a climb up steps to the city. It is possible to obtain a taxi. The rooms/bathrooms were clean and well serviced. The buffet breakfast is generous with all tastes catered for. A large outdoor pool area with a drinks service .A small beach area with cordoned area for sea swimming. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

Mr Pogson, 07 October 2016

The hotel was more of a 5* conference venue than a true 5* holiday hotel, breakfast staff very disorganised, lounge bar staff very slow, also forgot milk with coffee despite being asked for it twice! - no where near good as the Elysium in Cyprus where we stayed in February this year - the Excelsior could learn a lot from them - I guess more of a 4.5* hotel.

Mr Morris, 21 September 2016

Always have brilliant service from whoever we speak to.

Mr Densham, 25 May 2016

Comfortable room with very good housekeeping, fine catering, friendly staff, excellent chauffeur driven tours (especially Charles), good evening time entertaining (especially singer Desi), only drawback is the steep hill to get to Valletta.

Mr Carey, 01 May 2016

Can not fault the hotel and its staff in any way: the only thing to bear in mind - and this is well documented on tripadvisor - is that to get into the city involves quite a steep walk - not a very long one but for older or mobility-challenged guests this could be a little tricky. Having said that there is a twice daily hotel shuttle into the city but only at 10 am and 6pm.

Mr Neale, 19 April 2016

Very good with helpful friendly staff

Mrs Wilkinson, 04 January 2016

Room very good, but we had been upgraded. Food adequate not 5 star. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Mr Graves, 21 September 2015

Air conditioning unit was very noisy, though the accommodation was very good

Mr Williams, 22 July 2015
