A visit to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Western USA, is a once in a lifetime experience! One of the biggest examples of erosion in the world, the Grand Canyon has stood tall for over 550 million years and is now a World Heritage Site. Spectacular views from all angles are guaranteed - from its rim, to the towering columns and buttresses of the inner gorges, to the Colorado River that runs along the floor of the canyon one mile below. The South Rim is home to the Grand Canyon Village, Hermits Rest and Desert View. 10 miles directly across the canyon, as the crow flies, and towering 1,000ft higher, you'll discover the North Rim. The Inner Rim is a haven for mule riders, hikers and river runners. Discover Lake Powell with its red rock towers, clear blue waters and sandy beaches. For a unique experience, take a round-trip on the Grand Canyon Railway from Williams, Arizona to the Grand Canyon National Park - a journey of 65 miles. Nearby you can also visit the Hoover Dam, Iceburg Canyon, Lake Mead, Bowl of Fire and the Valley of Fire. Combine a stay in Las Vegas with a trip to the Grand Canyon. Why not experience a holiday in the Grand Canyon this year and see what you're missing!
