Frankfurt enjoys a temperate seasonal climate with cold winters and warm summers. Temperatures can reach 30øC at the height of the summer with occasional wet day, while winter temperatures range from -10C to 10C.
Things to see & do

You'll be spoilt for choice of things to see and do during a holiday in Frankfurt. Hop on the Ebbelwei Express tram for a city tour. Dancing on ice is fun at one of the city's many ice rinks. Get up close to the monkeys, lions and crocodiles at Frankfurt Zoo. For family fun: see the T-Rex dinosaur at the Senckenberg Museum, the interactive exhibits at Experiminta Science and Technology Centre or a visit to Spielzimmer Toy Store is a must. Try out the high rope courses, climbing walls and sports facilities at Sportpark Kelkheim. Take the lift to the 54th floor of the Main Tower for great views.

Frankfurt really comes to life after dark with a great choice of bars and nightspots to choose from. Sachsenhausen is lined with traditional German bars, while "Jazz Alley" (Kleine Bockenheimer Strasse) is home to the best live music bars. Das 21 and U60311 are two of the most popular nightclubs to dance the night away.

Food & drink

Frankfurt streets are lined with tasty delis, cafes and restaurants. Regional specialities to enjoy are the famous frankfurter sausages and apple wine.
