Formentera is the sister island to Ibiza. It is one of the jewels of the Mediterranean. It has beautiful beaches and crystal waters. The island is 20 km long and only 2 km wide at its smallest expanse. On the whole it is flat but it rises to its highest point of 193 metres at La Mola from which you have superb vistas from the cliffs plunging down into the sea.
Formentera boasts a number of water sporting activities. Including; diving, jet skis and snorkelling. Throughout the resort there are a number of varied attractions, a lot of which are historical and cultural. Some of which are: the Roman Can Blai encampment and the Ca Na Costa tomb. However, the island of Ibiza has a number of attractions, including water parks. Just take the ferry across which will take approximately 30 minutes.
Formentera is a quieter resort than its sister island of Ibiza . The bars and clubs are lively in the area of Es Pujols, but quieter pubs can be found outside of this area. For those wishing to experience Ibiza's nightlife there is a ferry runs to and from Ibiza.
Formentera has a wide variety of restaurants offering a range of cuisines. Ranging from British to authentic cuisines.
