Sitting at 1620 metres, Zermatt is dominated by the spectacular Matterhorn and is a haven for intermediate and advanced skiers. At 1770 metres, the glamorous resort of St Moritz is one of the most famous in Switzerland, known for its excellent cross-country skiing and beautiful frozen lake. The resort of Davos, at 1560 metres, enjoys access to 200 miles of pistes and is suitable for all levels. Wengen sits at 1275 metres and is famous for its exhilarating downhill course, 'the Lauberhorn'.
