Le Massif is tiny compared to most ski resorts, with just 302 acres of skiing, a mere fraction of the size of some of the resorts in the United States. And its steep, too, with the highest vertical drop east of the Canadian Rockies. There are fantastic views of the St. Lawrence River and out to the open sea from many of the trails.
With only 43 trails, Le Massif doesnt offer the same level of choice as other, larger resorts, but it holds its own in terms of vertical thrills. The National Alpine Ski Training Center, famed for training the Canadian ski team, has an excellent reputation and is the only facility of its kind in Québec.
