Finding a bar in Alpe d'Huez is not a problem with plenty of choice for all tastes. Most are congregated in the Quartier des Jeux (main town) and their names give away the fact that the resort is very popular with visitors from the British Isles. Smithy's Tavern has lively après ski with regular drinks offers in addition to serving healthy portions of Tex-Mex food. The Piano Bar is a large eastern influenced bar/restaurant that gives a chill out lounge alternative to some of the more hectic bars. The Sports Bar is probably the best resort spot for catching the latest football, rugby and cricket matches and boasts a music lounge with DJ. The ubiquitous Irish pub scene is also present in the form of O'Sharkeys. In the old town, The Underground is a cozy theme bar underneath the Hotel Le Chamois and based on the London tube.
