Sani is a purpose built resort, situated in the west coast of Halkidiki’s Kassandra Peninsular. It is approximately one hundred kilometres from Thessalonika. Sani lies in an area of great natural beauty and has long sandy beaches surrounded by country and woodland. It is a very quiet resort offering a retreat from twenty first century living.

Sani holidays offer total relaxation on a wonderful beach washed by warm, clear water, ideal for those lazy days on a sun lounger. The area around the marina has a small number of bars, taverns and shops. For those looking to experience the surrounding area local buses are available into Nea Moudania. Close to Moudania are the caves of Petralona with their wonderful formations of stalactites and stalagmites.

Who Goes There?
Sani is essentially a family resort and particularly attracts those with small children. The excellent beaches and the peaceful atmosphere combine to make Sani a popular resort with couples.

Shopping
Sani has few shopping facilities other than those provided by the hotels. If you are really desperate for a shopping trip you can visit Thessalonika where you will find a wide range of specialist shops and boutiques.

Nightlife
Sani is a beach resort comprised of hotel complexes; therefore nightlife is very low key. Entertainment is provided by the hotels with live performances and traditional Greek evenings.

Restaurants/ Cuisine
Sani lacks the traditional taverns on the beach but its hotels do provide excellent food. If you want to eat away from the hotels, there are taverns by the marina or you must travel to nearby villages such as Nea Fokea.

Attractions
Sani is all about relaxation and does not have much to offer in the way of attraction but local bus services travel to the surrounding area, including the caves of Petralona with their wonderful formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Fifty years ago a skull and tools were found in the caves which are several hundred thousand years old.

Transfer Time
The transfer time from Thessaloniki airport into Sani takes approximately one hour, depending on the location of your accommodation.

Beaches
The beach is seven kilometers of soft sand which slopes very gently into the clear blue water of the Aegean Sea. The water is shallow and provides safe bathing for children and less confident swimmers. Water sport activities are provided by the hotels and these include diving. The area around the marina has a small number of bars, taverns and shops.
