Just eight kilometres from Marmaris, is Icmeler a more relaxed resort surrounded by pine covered hills with clear waters, sandy beaches and great water sporting activity. There are a number of pleasant restaurants and bars to relax and enjoy your self in.The resort is much quieter than neighboring Marmaris, but the activity is not non-existent there are a variety of trips and excursions available, picturesque gardens, not to mention all of the water sports, and if you want to experience a lively evening Marmaris is not too far away.

Who goes there? This is a popular resort for families looking to relax, and couples wanting to escape home, it does have a few clubs but it is not a perfect spot if you are looking for a party until the sun comes up type of holiday. It has a charming atmosphere and is perfect for a laid back holiday.

Shopping:
There is a small shopping centre in Icmeler, selling souvenirs, gifts and the essentials. There is a Wednesday market offering the usual leather goods, jewellery etc. but try to barter for the best deals, if you really want to shop then head into Marmaris.

Nightlife:
The nightlife is low-key in Icmeler; peaceful nights are what it has to offer, there are a couple of night clubs, many bars and restaurants but nowhere near like Marmaris.
