Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol is a resort that is very popular with both the British and the Spanish. Fuengirola has a lot to offer many tourists, with its superb beaches, calm, clear waters and fantastic activities and attractions. Previously, a tiny fishing village, Fuengirola has become a vibrant metropolis with character, due to the advent of many tapas bars and good restaurants, chic boutiques and other shops of interest, as well as fabulous beaches.
Fuengirola is a more relaxed resort than Malaga, with people enjoying holidays here for the relaxation and family orientated side of a holiday. However it is not completely peaceful with some lively nightlife on offer throughout the resort. Those asking for relaxation by day and a choice of nightlife, from peaceful to lively, will find that a Fuengirola holiday is the answer.
Attractions and Activities
There are various water sports available on the beach. There are a number of attractions available, including: the old castle; the zoo- which is a tropical rain forest where animals, including leopards, live in a close approximation of their natural habitat. In the height of the season the zoo remains open until 1am so that visitors are able to view nocturnal animals; there is also a water park.
