Situated on the coast in the central part of the island, Costa Teguise is one of Lanzarote's main tourist resorts. Costa Teguise is a purpose built resort, with many older buildings and areas currently being refurbished. It is only a 20 minute drive from Arrecife Airport and is a convenient place from which to explore the islands tourist and cultural attractions, as well as the northern fishing villages of Arrieta and Orzola.
The island’s historic capital of Teguise is a 10 to 15 minute drive away and provides a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Costa Teguise, unless of course you go on a Sunday, when the market is in full swing. The resort is more low key than some but still has plenty to do with a wide variety of shops and restaurants for all tastes and of course lovely beaches.
Activities
The beaches in Costa Teguise are very clean and well looked after, with fine golden sand. There are a number of water sports available on the beaches in Costa Teguise with windsurfing being the main one. There are schools, shops and equipment rental companies scattered around the beach. Costa Teguise also currently have the only golf course on the island.
Attractions
The historical capital of Teguise is approximately a 10 to 15 minute drive away and provides a break from the hustle and bustle of Costa Teguise. Teguise also has a bustling Sunday market for a great day out. Costa Teguise is also in a perfect location to explore the tourist attractions in the North of Lanzarote, such as, Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del Agua and Jardin de Cactus.

There is no shortage of shops in this resort, e.g. jewelers’, general gift shops and discount electrical stores. There is also a large number of supermarkets within the resort.
Nightlife
Costas Teguise has a fantastic nightlife scene but is well known for being lively but not rowdy, ideal for those looking for a night out without all the hustle and bustle! The bars in the resort are a great mix of both British and local style.
Restaurants/ Cuisine
The restaurants in the resort are open till late and offer a wide range of cuisine, such as, International, Chinese and Indian.
Money
There are a number of foreign exchange bureaus throughout the resort. The currency used in Costa Teguise is the euro.

Transport
Costa Teguise is well served with public transport, buses and taxis are readily available throughout the resort. However, if you are wanting to explore Lanzarote
further and the attractions further afield you may want to consider renting a car. Costa Teguise has a number of car rental companies throughout the resort, however, can get very busy, especially in peak season, therefore you may want to consider booking in advance.
