Cabarete is most famous for its wind surfing conditions, the resort beach is the main focus for visitors it stretches a huge 6km, in the evenings many of the restaurants place their table along the beach, to allow you to dine under the stars. It is not just the water sports that attract visitors to Cabarete there are a range of other activities on offer, it is an active resort.

Climate:
There is a hot climate in the Dominican all year round, but there are two rainy seasons, between May and August is the heaviest rainy season, and the other is during November and December, Between August and October it is the ‘hurricane season’, Cabarete has never been in the direct path of a Hurricane but it is recommended to travel in the drier months.

Dominican Republic Peso (DOP; symbol RD$) = 100 centavos. Notes are in denominations of RD$2,000, 1,000, 500, 100, 50, 20 and 10. Coins are in denominations of RD$1 and 5 and 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1 centavos. All the coins are legal tender but only the RD$1 and 5 are actually used due to the impracticality of the smaller denominations.
