The hotel was a bit 'tired' - probably built in the 1970's or 1980's and could do with a refresh. We chose the hotel for the indoor swimming pool, but the water was cold, and the jacuzzi barely warm and didn't work properly. Pity rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities.Staff very friendly. Ideally situated for Valetta and public transport. All in all, for what we paid, we could not really grumble.

Reception and staff good, room OK except there was no mattress protector and sheets were too small to tuck in!! Meals diabolical and self service, dining area too small for no of guests and it was a fight to get food/ table whatever time we arrived. Unable to seat and eat food together as dishes were removed if we left
table to collect next course.

Regretably, the hotel could / would not supply us with the accommodation we had booked, and paid for, namely a room with a seaview balcony. They did move us from the first room allocated, which was in the centre of this large building, looking out onto a "liftshaft" of walls and other balconies, to an outside room, but at the back of the hotel overlooking other buildings / rooftops etc, and told us there were no seaview rooms available. The Sunspot rep took full details of this on day 2 and promised to "sort it" but we never saw him again for the remaining 12 days! We have given full details if this experience to the Manager at Bath Travel in Rustington, and are awaiting some explanation and financial refund.
Judging from the many on-going "discussions" at the Reception Desk that we overheard each day, many other people were having similar experiences with their accommodation.

For the price the accommodation was Ok. The apartment was in need of some refurbishment. The curtains and sofas were dirty and there were issues in the shower room. The shower leaked and the door was difficult to shut. Likewise with the two patio doors. Kitchen equipment was basic but adequate. As it was quite cold some form of heating would have been appreciated. Otherwise Ok.
