Best food I've ever had in an all-inclusive deal
I visited here in July 2014 for one week on an all-inclusive package.

On arriving at the hotel, I was instantly impressed. The reception was lovely. We had a quick check-in and were given a map of how to get to our room, but found it quite easy anyway. Our room was fantastic with plenty of space and lovely views.

The hotel has three, separate swimming pools. The infinity pool is lovely but a little bit cold, although there are plenty of sunbeds for all guests. But bear in mind, the best sunbeds are by the infinity pool that looks out to sea. Unfortunately, we never managed to get one of those sunbeds!

For breakfast, we went to the main restaurant. There was so much choice - fruit, cereal, toast, yoghurt, pancakes and cooked breakfast foods were all on offer. The snack bar by the pool was really good too - I'd recommend the chicken sandwich. It was lovely with proper chicken not the cheap, wafer-thin type you might expect.

On our first day, we went to the desk to book the a la carte restaurants (we picked the Asian, Italian and Spanish ones). We got to choose the times and nights that we wanted to go too, which was really handy.

The Asian restaurant is at the sister hotel (Gran Bahia Tenerife), which is a two-minute walk away. This was amazing with great service and lovely food. They had beautiful sushi and lots more things to choose from. The Italian was my least favourite, though. Again, the starters were amazing but I wasn't too impressed with my main course. But thankfully, the Spanish restaurant was fantastic.

However, the main buffet restaurant was so good, I could have eaten there all week. There was so much choice and we ate there for lunch every day, and for dinner on four different nights. Not once did we get bored of the food. There was always something different and I never struggled to find things I fancied to eat. Service was also absolutely brilliant.

I loved the concept of the self-service bars. You could pour your own spirits and mixers, beers, lagers, cocktails - anything! You could also ask at the bar for particular cocktails, coffees, soft drinks and anything else.

Entertainment is across the road at the plaza in between two hotels. You can take your drinks with you, as long as they are in plastic cups. There's also a sports bar here, although you have to pay for drinks separately, but they aren't very expensive. A few shops are around here, and there's a 24-hour snack bar where you can get crips, burgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and San Miguel all night. A nightclub is open until late and features karaoke, which is great if you're not ready to go to bed when the other bars close.

The entertainment isn't the best, unfortunately. There was only one act that we really enjoyed, which involved three male gymnasts who were amazing. The rest was just laughable - I suppose it was entertaining in the respect that it was so bad! Kids would probably enjoy it though. In the main lobby bar there's a singer every night. We liked this, as it has a really chilled-out atmosphere. Children have plenty of activities and entertainment during the day, which is handy for families.

We booked two trips at the hotel with the same member of staff who was really friendly and knowledgable. We went to Siam Water Park, which has to be the cleanest water park ever, as well as whale and dolphin watching. It was amazing to see them out in the wild. But if you're prone to seasickness, perhaps give this a miss. A lot of people were feeling ill!

The only thing that put me off this hotel initially was the location. We knew it was quite far away from Costa Adeje, but didn't realise just how far. The beach is just rocks and sea, and there are only a few shops nearby and maybe one restaurant.

I'd stay here again, but make sure I take more cash so we could get a taxi to Las Americas and have a couple of nights there.

All in all, it's the best all-inclusive hotel I've ever stayed in. I'd definitely return with more spending money!

Mrs Pattison, 01 April 2017

This is our fourth visit to this hotel and we will definitely be visiting again, only comment would be if on an evening they segregated the smokers away from non-smokers and especially at the entrance of the restaurant.

Mr Siddall, 01 April 2017

Definately will be going back

Mr Singh, 30 March 2017

Mr Reece, 20 March 2017

beds and food and entertainment let it down was a beautiful resort

Mrs Gibbs, 14 March 2017

Great hotel. Clean, spacious and relaxing.

Mrs Renshaw, 13 March 2017

The hotel is lovely, accomoddation reasonably comfortable and is maintained to a reasonable standard. When we arrived we were put into a junior suite which we had paid for but there was a view of a patio fence when the hotel is right by the ocean. We asked to be moved and that was done on the Monday to a much better suite. We would both like to say that the food was great, but my husband ate something in the Italian restaurant on the Tuesday which kept him in bed for a day at least and he still feels queasy. Not thinking it was specifically the Italian we ate there again on the friday and I spent the next 7 years throwing up and then had to travel home on a 4 and a half hour flight plus one and a quarter on the tarmac, with a sick bag in my hand and food going on all around me. We told this to reception as we were checking out on the saturday and were told there had been a virus!! and to report it to the other part of the hotel but I really couldn't face standing in a queue to do that so it was not been confirmed to the hotel.

Mrs Morgan, 11 March 2017

Was worried that the hotel would be rather isolated which it was but had a lovely room with excellent views, food was good and the sun was shining so for a week it was a very good holiday.

Mrs Stroud-drinkwater, 08 March 2017

Lovely hotel, like a village. Good staff, good walks to be had locally and easy to get to Costa Adeje or Playa Americas by bus.

Mrs Booth, 08 March 2017

The staff work really hard but over the years we have noticed that the hotel really needs a refurbishment and update

Mr Godfrey, 27 February 2017

We realised a day before travel that my daughter's passport was out of date. Hays Travel did everything they could to help us sort the situation and we eventually got on holiday three days late. The customer care at the Northallerton branch was outstanding and we are very grateful to Leah, Laura and the rest of the team.

Mrs Taylor, 22 February 2017

Fantastic hotel and accommodation. Very clean, great food, very friendly and helpful staff.

Mrs Hulson, 16 February 2017

Beds was very uncomfortable slept on floor a few nights

Mrs Clark, 11 February 2017

Could not fault hotel - food, drink, availability and quality excellent. Grounds/gardens pool areas etc excellent. Would recommend hotel 100%

Mrs Duffy, 09 February 2017

This hotel is excellent and very clean and the staff are very friendly and polite. The food is also good with plenty of choice. The only downside is that the music or entertainment finished about 10.45 which was far to early.

Mrs Telford, 03 February 2017

great hotel, had a lovely room overlooking the pool, Ok for us, but may not be good for the elderly as site is large and on a steep hill

Mr Green, 30 December 2016

Good hotel but not 5star as it was rated. Had to find your own room. A bit out of the way from the action away from the hotel. Should have bottled water available. Food was good. Alcohol was ok. Rooms were clean and staff were nice.

Mrs Wilson, 11 December 2016

Hotel fantastic, the food was a but poor but you could always find things to eat. Facilities were great..

Mrs Baster, 11 December 2016

Been many times before and haven't had a problem, however this time we had a water leak which wasn't resolved satisfactorily and although being gold members our requests for a low floor room close to amenities were not honoured this causing exacerbation of my wife's breathing problems.

Mrs Bainbridge, 07 December 2016

The hotel was very well run - couldn't fault the cleanliness or the food. Lovely complex. Only downside is that there were no long, pleasant walks - need to use transport to move around. Good if you only want to relax without travelling around.

Mrs Lunt, 28 November 2016

Mrs King, 16 November 2016

Mrs Mccallan, 07 November 2016

Meant to be booked into bahia principe costa adeje.

Mr Johnson, 03 November 2016

5* holiday complex. Fantastic. The only downside is that it isn't near a beach, but there is a regular bus service which will get you to the next resorts with a beach.

Mrs Laydon, 13 October 2016

I booked this holiday for myself and a group of another 9 friends. This will be our 4th visit here. It was nice to see some refurbishments had been made around the complex as it is looking a bit tired! The hotel is one of the best we have been to and will visit again soon.

Mrs Pattison, 11 October 2016

Fantastic hotel, the choice of food is unbelievable everything from caviar to smoked salmon. Staff are very friendly.
