One of the main reasons why UK holidaymakers love Agadir holidays is the weather. In summer, the resort can be very hot, with daytime highs reaching as much as 30°C, or even higher in a heat wave. In the winter, Agadir enjoys mild temperatures (rarely below 20°C). If you are going on holiday to Agadir in the winter, expect occasional showers and take extra layers for the evening, when it can get a little chilly.
Things to see & do

Many visitors to Agadir are content with finding a spot on the long, sandy beach (theres a whole 9km to choose from.) But theres more to do here if you want it: take a guided tour of the town and delve into the local museum, go on a camel ride or hold on tight for a jeep safari. If you want to get close to nature, theres plenty of it in the beautiful Massa nature reserve, where you can also glimpse the preSahara dunes. Further afield, check out Marrakech for its famous souks, visit the arty harbour town of Essaouira, or head into the stunning Atlas Mountains. Back in Agadir, youll find everything you could wish for from a holiday base: water sports, boat trips and that beach. At the end of the day, book in for an exquisite Argan oil massage.

Many hotels in Agadir offer their own inhouse entertainment, which can include local dancing and shows. But head out into the resort and youll find a great choice of bars, as well as the odd nightclub and casino. The resort tends to be quieter in the winter months, so dont expect late nights if youre heading there at this time of year.

Food & drink

There are plenty of places to eat out in Agadir and most have outdoor terraces. Dont miss Moroccan specialities like tagine and cous cous. Youll also find lots of French cuisine in the resort, with some highly coveted restaurants. Agadir also offers excellent seafood head to the fishing port to see it at source.
