From the minute we opened our first small retail shop in Seaham, Co Durham in 1980 I was hooked - I fell in love with the travel industry.

The company has come a long way since its humble beginnings. Our annual turnover is now over £650 million, and we employ more than 1,000 people. We have more than 100 branches nationwide, including two call centres in the north east; more than 400 homeworkers across the UK, and we're growing all the time.

In late 2013, Hays Travel completed the acquisition of Bath Travel, the south’s largest independent travel agent, and a company with a long and proud heritage.

Founded in 1924 in Bournemouth, Bath Travel has 60 branches and employs 360 people, with annual sales in excess of £100 million. This acquisition reinforces Hays Travel’s position as the UK’s largest independent travel agent, and prepares the group well for the future.
